A bit disappointed

White sandy beach, buffet breakfast, lunch. Activities during the day. Entertainment every evening. 24 hour room service.

I joined a group of friends on this holiday, but the reception just would not put me in a room nearer to my friends' building despite having made this request during my booking. Mahogany was the only restaurant that served breakfast. Menu was very much the same everyday. There were flies in Mahogany. The other restaurants were not opened everyday. The day before I left, there was no house-keeping. The resort was running out of beach towels most of the time. Broken sun loungers should be repaired or thrown away. Overall could do with an uplift to freshen up the place for the price they charge.

Great location, beautiful property, excellent staff. Average food.

Breakfast was the best meal, good variety and made to order eggs/omelettes. Staff were all very friendly Coffee was very good.

Lunch was the same every day.It wasn’t easy to obtain dinner reservations at the specialty restaurants. We arrived at 5 PM and our only choice was to eat at the buffet which was not very special. Mediocre at best. Specialty dining was much better. Ackee and the Asian restaurant were our favorites.

Food was decent but drinks were always a problem, in each bar you always had something missing, you had to go through multiple bars to get your drinks. Same with drinks you ask to your room's fridge and never arrive.

Need more AUTHENTIC Jamaican food, not watered down version for European guests who are actually desiring authentic Jamaican cuisine. There were ample European food options... no need to water the Jamaican food down to accommodate.

Azul, step your game up.

The staff amazing. Friendly and genuine. Place was clean and great selection of food and drinks. Great setup.

Rooms are too close to the street cars and trucks kept us up most of the nights. Room service a mess. Got the order wrong 3 times, finally got it, food was cold. That's a deal breaker I come to Jamaica to rest I work in 5 countries I'm an infrastructure planner roads and bridges, im tired of planning everything just want some mashed potatoes was about to go the KFC and see if the had any. Sigh. Biggest hurdles no sleep because of noise and when you wake up food is at your own risk. No good. I'm coming back in 2 months let's see if there are any improvements. If not Royalton will be my rest and relaxation spot.

The beach and property were both very nice. There was security out on the beach as well monitoring people coming and going.

They don’t tell you on the website, but the larger area with chairs and umbrellas is not for everyone. It’s reserved for prestige members only. There’s a smaller area with chairs and no umbrellas that are first come first serve for the rest of the resort. Had the resort been at capacity, it would have been a bigger issue. People were putting their stuff on chairs the night before or extremely early so it was sometimes hard to find a spot especially shaded/partially shaded.

Some of the staff were hospitable, however, most times the staff favoured the European guest and not the black people.

We enjoyed our stay, it was relaxing. It’s not a party resort if that’s what you’re looking for. Mostly couples and fami

We liked the beach location. We liked our room, ala carte were good, buffets sub par.

Very poor, slow check in process. Unimpressive lobby, first impression. Prestige area on beach was too big, took up too much space and not even half full. Could add beach bars more rustic and authentic Jamaican style, rather than just swim up bars. Shouldn’t be called Gourmet, because the food was just ok and very repetitive.

Our stay was enjoyable. The pools were excellent and the overall vibe was fun yet relaxed.

Location was great. Facilities were excellent. Food was what you would expect from an all inclusive. It was good but not great. Overall we had a great experience.

The bars were often out of ingredients, certain types of alcohol etc. Not the fault of the bartenders they did the best with what they had but for a premium resort I would not have expected them to run out of things like top shelf liquor, tonic water or limes.

Okay, but not as excellent as my first experience earlier this year.

No major food issues. This was my second time in Azul. I was surprised at the fruit selection for each meal. Why didn't we get more local fruits - whatever was in season?

Maintenance - we had to call for maintenance 3 times- bathroom and hot water issues.

I had a great time at the hotel, would definitely stay again.

Check in was quick and smooth. The room and bathroom were clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was live entertainment at breakfast at the mahogany restaurant which I loved. The food was good too. There were a lot of pools around the property. The hotel had an app that you download during checkin which shows you everything about the hotel including the different restaurants, bars, entertainment etc that was definitely a plus for me.

My room didn’t have much of an ocean view and the room didn’t have the robes and slippers as stated.

We made the best of it.

The location is beautiful. The views are beautiful and tranquil. There were plenty of pools located all around the property so there weren’t crowds in the same pool. There were also plenty of beach chairs and cabanas along the beach so you didn’t have to do the 5 a.m. run to secure chairs.

Check in took extremely long. The food at the restaurants was not good. The barbecue night on the beach was pretty good however, when cooking the chicken you can’t just leave it in the grill to stay warm because it continues cooking and becomes jerky. I also selected and paid for a premium swim up. When I arrived I did not get the room in the pictures. I was told those were over on the family side, not on the adults only side. There was no compensation for the difference in that price. Also, the rooms are very dated and patched up repairs were very obvious. Example, the sink bowl was broken and glued back together, obviously there was water damage around the bottoms of the baseboards and doorways. It just wasn’t the luxury that I thought we were getting as it states in the name but, I guess it’s all perspective.
